Map guide If the party contains Boris he advises them to talk to Evan but forewarns them of Evan's difficulty dealing directly with humans. On the map, there are two generic members of the Winged-Sun, though they remain here they add one to the roster. The roster is how many N.P.C. characters the player can have within their battle group (as opposed to the 5 selected battlers). Evan sounds confident at first giving his talk from the podium but as soon as the characters engage him in direct conversation he stumbles and stutters through their questioning. Lloyd, being a man of action, eventually grows tired of this after finding out Eva and Gregory have headed to the market district.
When exiting the map back towards the town centre the player is given the first "Hypertext" option. They may remain playing as Lloyd and the party and travel to the market district in search of Gregory and Eva or they can play as Gregory and see the events unfold elsewhere. If they select Lloyd they continue into Door centre as normal, where they will complete the finding Amelia quest if Sancho is in the party. If they decide to play as Gregory they witness the conversation between Edleforth and Eva that results in Eva travelling to Edleforth's castle. After this conversation happens they take control of Gregory and exit towards the guildhall in the market district whereupon they are forced to travel on a quest to prevent a slime invasion.

Quick facts:
Map guide The first visit to Door begins a cut scene which foreshadows the culture of Dystalia. If the player has acquired the blue crystal (The memory of Zanus) then a special dialogue invovling Boris takes place resulting in the player having to fight Boris. If the player defeats Boris twice in succession they are rewarded each time with a key and experience. Finally they momentarily have Boris added to the party team though there is only one battle (within The Rusted Knob) that Boris can be used in.
After the introductory scene the player is told to visit the Drax Arcana, though they are free to explore The Rusted Knob or the farmhouse before doing so. After their visit has been completed they are free to explore the centre without limitation. *** A second event occurs in Door centre if Sancho is in the party and the player has chosen to remain playing as Lloyd in Hypertext decision 1 (This will be explained in the Refugee quarter map guide). The scene contains Sancho meeting up with amelia and discovering that Lauren, his romantic interest, is also in Door. Unbeknownest to the player Sancho's relationship with Lauren is difficult and underlying his decision to follow Lloyd is a reluctance to see her again so soon. Quick facts:

Map guide This is the final part of the introductory areas designed to provide context for Lloyd's arrival in the world of Dystalia. The key and gate are a very simple quest but can be difficult to find when the player is not exploring areas fully. Upon completing the Webboss fight the pillar blocking the way to the exit is replaced with the rubble surrounding it. As an embellishment to the game, the rubble can be destroyed based on a stat check against ATK. Success grants the player access to the area holding the key (in case they had not previously discovered it) and failure has the minor effect of losing 10 HP.
The scene that follows on from the Webbos battle forces the player to decide between keeping Sancho or Leyley as main story companions. This is a massive change to the direction of the narrative and tailors the playthrough between two largely different storylines. The battle between the two characters (Leyley and Sancho) is carried out by the player controlling their preferred player, if they lose the battle however, they will be forced into accepting the other character instead. The final exit of the cave leads into a battle with the Abyssal Maw, a creature that lives between the two worlds and devours anything coming this way (it is not yet revealed how Leyley managed to gain access to the cave). The battle in unwinnable and results on the third turn with the party being devoured and resurrected at the spawn point in Door. This is where the real adventure begins. Quick facts:
*note additional graphics added by Yanfly's doodads & parallax mapping. Map guide Entering from the upper left the player cannot see the exit until they have recruited Leyley to the party. The crystals are not explained to be a quest though the clue "tsenoh nem repsorp" can be found near the red crystal. Each time a player interacts they are given the choice to take the crystal; taking the red removes all other crystals, taking the yellow prevents the blue crystal from appearing. The blue crystal is known as "The memory of Zanus" and plays an important role in the plot structure. It is not a necessity that the player acquires the item as allowances are made later in conditional dialogue and scenes. The purpose of the Skeleton Mage is to ensure Sancho and Leyley acuire level 3 before fighting the Webboss on the following map. This demi-boss drops minor loot but a large bonus to experience. The healing crystal was added as initially the party only has four healing potions and can exhaust these by grinding each available enemy.
